“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” – John 14:1-3
What do you see as you look at the future? We can dream and imagine anything we wish it to be, but if we are honest the unknown can be rather frightening and troubling. Jesus tells us to not allow ourselves to be troubled. We have to purposefully redirect our thinking to what we know about our future. Those who believe in Him are promised a good ending, a mansion personally prepared by Jesus, the physical return of Jesus for us, complete acceptance and celebration as we enter the doors of heaven, and living forever with the One whom we love so dearly. When we refocused our attention on His promises the troubles of life didn’t have the same pressure and power over us. Paul told us in Colossians to just permanently set our minds and thinking on heaven and it would enable us to navigate life the way we should. Try looking at the bigger picture and enjoy all God has for you today and tomorrow.
