“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” – Psalm 32:8
He came for a piano lesson the other day, but was more interested in my airplane simulator than the piano. Nothing else seemed to matter, all he wanted to do was fly. Well, as a good teacher, I used it as motivation. If he did well in the other areas, I promised him that he could fly. He kept his end of the deal and I kept mine. It was powerful tool. Finally came the moment he had been waiting for. He listened to a few moments of instruction, but was not very teachable. His face was radiant as his little plane took off! He was flying! Well, that only lasted a few minutes for about as soon as he took off the plane took a nose dive, plummeted to the ground, and crashed. How many times is that the story of our lives? We may be heading in the way the Lord is leading, we are not very teachable, take over the controls, and crash. Why not listen and followed Him today? He promises to help us “fly” if we will just let Him.
